This Subscription & Refund Policy ("Policy") applies to all paid subscriptions for the Tavernus PDF Editor platform, operated by Tavernus Game LLC ("Tavernus," "we," "us," or "our"). This Policy complements and should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Subscription Plans Overview
Tavernus PDF Editor offers three service tiers:
- Free Plan: No-cost access to basic PDF editing capabilities. No credit card required. No subscription or billing involved.
- Pro Plan: Premium access to the full suite of PDF tools including unlimited editing, merging, splitting, e-signatures, form creation, and priority support. Billed monthly ($12.99/month) or annually ($8.99/month, billed as $107.88/year).
- Enterprise Plan: Advanced security, admin controls, SSO/SAML, API access, and a dedicated account manager. Billed monthly ($29.99/month) or annually ($22.99/month, billed as $275.88/year). Custom pricing available for teams of 50+ users.
2. Digital Product — No Physical Shipping
Tavernus PDF Editor is a fully digital Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product delivered entirely via web browser. There are no physical goods, shipping, or delivery logistics involved. Upon successful payment, access to premium features is activated instantly and remains active for the duration of your billing cycle.
3. Billing & Payment
3.1 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods via our PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor, Stripe, Inc.:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Apple Pay and Google Pay (where available)
3.2 Billing Cycle
- Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same day each month (e.g., if you subscribe on March 10, you will be billed on the 10th of each subsequent month).
- Annual subscriptions are billed once per year on the anniversary of your subscription start date.
3.3 Automatic Renewal
All paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate. You will receive an email reminder 7 days before each renewal date. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
3.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 additional times over a 10-day period. If all attempts fail, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. Your settings and preferences will be preserved should you choose to resubscribe.
4. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our product. All new paid subscriptions to the Pro and Enterprise plans include a 7-day money-back guarantee.
4.1 Eligibility
- The 7-day guarantee applies only to the first charge on a new subscription. It does not apply to subscription renewals.
- The guarantee applies to both monthly and annual billing cycles.
- The 7-day period begins on the date of the initial payment.
4.2 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund under the 7-day guarantee:
- Email support@tavernusgame.com with the subject line "Refund Request."
- Include your registered email address and the date of your subscription.
- No reason is required — this is a no-questions-asked guarantee.
4.3 Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Upon refund, your account will be immediately downgraded to the Free plan.
- If you subscribed to an annual plan, the full annual amount will be refunded if you request within the 7-day window.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard under "Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription." No phone call or email is required — self-service cancellation is always available.
5.2 Effect of Cancellation
- You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing cycle.
- After the billing cycle ends, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan.
- Your account data, saved preferences, and workspace settings will be preserved for 90 days in case you wish to resubscribe.
5.3 Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Subscription renewal charges (only the initial charge qualifies for the 7-day guarantee).
- Partial-month or partial-year charges after cancellation (access continues through the end of the paid period).
- Enterprise plans with custom contracts or negotiated pricing (refund terms are specified in the individual agreement).
6. Plan Changes (Upgrades & Downgrades)
6.1 Upgrading
When upgrading from Free to Pro, or from Pro to Enterprise:
- The price difference is prorated based on the remaining days in your current billing cycle.
- Premium features are activated immediately upon payment.
- The 7-day money-back guarantee applies to the initial upgrade charge.
6.2 Downgrading
When downgrading from Enterprise to Pro, or from Pro to Free:
- The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
- You retain access to the higher-tier features until the current billing period ends.
- No partial refund is issued for the remaining time on the higher-tier plan.
7. Chargebacks & Disputes
If you have a billing concern, please contact us at support@tavernusgame.com before filing a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may result in account suspension pending investigation.
